OEM / PRIVATE LABEL

Private-Label Automotive Lighting RFQ Guide

Private-label sourcing works best when the approved product and the branding route are treated as one controlled specification.

1. Start from an approved product route

Choose the product family and exact model before discussing logo or packaging. Product specifications should remain tied to the approved model throughout the private-label process.

2. Define what is actually being customized

State whether the requirement covers product marking, packaging, labels, inserts or other brand assets. Keep each requested change explicit so sample approval has a clear reference.

3. Connect samples to QC

Use the approved sample and confirmed specification as the reference for later inspection. Any model-specific certification or compliance requirement should be verified with supporting documentation rather than assumed.

4. Send a procurement-ready RFQ

Include target market, estimated quantity, product/model, customization scope and the evidence or documents needed before approval.

FROM RESEARCH TO RFQ

Send the exact requirement you need verified.

Include product family, application, target market, estimated quantity and any OEM or QC requirement.
